Backrooms Games originated back in 2019 after a user posted an unsettling image of an abandoned office space online. A commenter joked that one could fall out of reality and into “the Backrooms” if they weren’t careful.
Since then, the concept took root and game developers have translated it into unsettling video games featuring surreal realms of endless, nondescript rooms and corridors that stretch into infinity. You may know popular Backrooms games such as Escape the Backrooms, The Backrooms 1998, and Inside the Backrooms.
