LEAPR joins The Sandbox to expand the metaverse industry in Latin America

The Sandbox is launching a new collaboration as a strategic partner with LEAPR Studio with early stage investment round, seeking to expand its portfolio in Latin America.

“LEAPR was born as a platform to put LATAM’s creative potential in the spotlight by building robust metaverse experiences. We believe in virtual environments that offer unique memories, and The Sandbox is a clear example of that,” said Tomas Faroux, LEAPR CEO. “This partnership allows us to continue offering high-level content for users around the globe, but also for brands who want to enter the metaverse but still haven’t figured out the best ways to do so.”

The new partners plan to launch a game in March 2023. The game will offer a strong narrative and creative core to demonstrate the region’s innovative and creative potential. To develop it, Leapr’s team collaborated with illustrators, game designers, screenwriters, level designers, voxel artists and architects from the LATAM region. This experience will include a robust NFT strategy and will be the stepping stone for a series of nature-inspired games.

The Sandbox firmly believes in a metaverse as a continuous shared digital space where worlds and fantasy collide to make magic. Aligned with that vision, they collaborate with artists, brands, institutions and creators to offer outstanding memorable experiences.
