The Sandbox and Square Enix Team Up to Bring Dungeon Siege RPG Experiences to the Metaverse
Dungeon Siege LAND Will Provide a Starting Point for Adventures and Creators Will Be Able to Build Their Own New Dungeon Siege Experiences Using Licensed Content
We’re happy to announce our new partnership with SQUARE ENIX® to bring the legendary RPG IP, Dungeon Siege, to The Sandbox gaming metaverse. The collaboration comprises two complementary parts. The first will deliver a Dungeon Siege LAND on Square Enix’s estate with interactive RPG experiences players can enjoy while learning best practices for constructing Dungeon Siege adventures. The second will make Dungeon Siege voxel characters and items available for players and creators to incorporate into their unique experiences using The Sandbox’s free VoxEdit and Game Maker #nocode creation tools.

Dungeon Siege is an award-winning RPG franchise set in the medieval kingdom of Ehb. The series, which follows a young farmer and his companions as they journey to defeat an invading force, has sold over 1.7M copies while inspiring multiple sequels. The game also was popular with the modding community, making it a perfect fit for The Sandbox where players and creators can build experiences on their LANDS using both original and licensed content.
