The Sandbox Collaborates with Otherworld to Launch Metaverse Webtoon Hub

The Sandbox is teaming up with Otherrworld, a Korean startup, to establish a metaverse webtoon hub offering users a diverse range of Experiences based on popular KakaoPage IPs.

The first IP from this partnership to enter the will be Solo Leveling. This webtoon delves into the life of protagonist Sung Jinwoo alongside NFT integrations. Following this, beloved IPs such as Second Life Ranker, Tomb Raider King, and Spirit King Elqueeness will follow suit.

Otherworld is actively developing infrastructure for a social network by combining intellectual property (IP) rights from Kakao Entertainment and Cube Entertainment with blockchain technology. Their objective is to offer services that enhance accessibility for fans, leveraging globally recognized IPs like the immensely popular Solo Leveling webtoon, boasting 14.3 billion global views, and the K-pop sensation (G)I-DLE. In the first half of 2024, the company is gearing up to introduce an interactive collecting service centered around Solo Leveling and has recently secured investment from The Sandbox and prominent global venture capitalists, recognizing its business acumen and potential.
