The Sandbox: Leading the Digital Renaissance at NFT Paris 2024

With an office in France, The Sandbox has always had strong ties to the City of Light. In recent years, Paris has increasingly become an epicenter for Web3 innovation, with a growing NFT art scene, Paris Blockchain Week, and of course, NFT Paris.

As a leader in the Web3 space and vocal advocate for digital ownership, we knew we needed to make our presence known at this year’s NFT Paris.

No strangers to the popular yearly conference, we used our time to interact with both seasoned fans of The Sandbox and newcomers alike. Over the course of the week, we were able to bring people together to create, share ideas, and, most importantly, have fun.

For our third visit to the conference, we expanded our presence so that we could reach our community in innovative and exciting ways — including a booth on the main show floor, speaking on multiple panels, and hosting over ten events.

One of the standout features at this year’s NFT Paris Booth was “The Art of Runway” AR Mirror by DRESSX. It allowed attendees to try on exclusive NFT wearables from the Experience collection. By selecting items and posing in front of the camera, attendees seamlessly blended the real and virtual worlds, experiencing our signature avatars’ style firsthand.

We heard from leaders at Animoca Brands and The Sandbox, including Yat Sui, The Chairman of Animoca Brands, Sébastien Borget, COO of The Sandbox, and Robby Yung, CEO of Animoca Brands, who discussed the intersection of fashion, culture, gaming, and UGC, and how these various inputs are shifting the dynamics of the emerging Web3 industry.

Throughout the week, we engaged with over 20,000 individuals within the Web3 community. These events encompassed diverse subjects such as gender inclusivity, sports, fashion, and art, and featured prominent figures in the Web3 ecosystem, mirroring the global diversity of our platform of players, creators, and brands.

Our position as leaders in the space even drew the attention of Marina Ferrari, France’s Secretary of State for the Digital Sector, at our booth. Her visit highlighted our role as a significant contributor to shaping the Web3 ecosystem as we work to create a fair and inclusive metaverse.

As we look to the year ahead, we’re eager to find more opportunities, like NFT Paris, to connect with real people who share our passion for creativity, innovation, and technology.
