The Sandbox partners with K-pop Web 3.0 startup ‘Modhaus’

TL;DR

  • Create a social hub for fan engagement and hold various events.
  • Release tripleS NFTs, avatars wearables, and digital collectible items.

Modhaus and The Sandbox will create a social hub for fan engagement with metaverse-hosted events to expand the universe of blockchain-backed K-pop girl group ‘tripleS.’ Through the partnership, Modhaus will create licensed tripleS NFTs, including avatars, wearables, and various digital collectibles.

Modhaus is a Web3 project aiming to promote Korean Pop culture via blockchain technology. The company brings fans closer to creators by putting them at the center of the experience. Modhaus seeks to include fans across all stages of production using ‘Cosmo,’ a blockchain-based entertainment platform where fans can participate by themselves.

‘tripleS’ is a 24 member K-Pop girl group that uses blockchain technology to enable fans to control various elements of the experience. The community has voted to create two subunits so far via a blockchain based voting mechanism called ‘Gravity’ by Modhaus — Acid Angel from Asia and +(KR)ystal Eyes.

tripleS’s first unit, ‘Acid Angel from Asia’ released their first debut album ’Access’ on Oct. 28th and made great achievements. Access’s lead track “Generation” has already reached 25 million total YouTube views and over 3,000,000 Spotify streams. The group’s debut landed them the top spot on the iTunes K-Pop Album Chart in the US, Mexico and Turkey and number nine on the iTunes K-Pop Song Chart in the US and Canada. On the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart, it reached number 74.

Cindy Lee, CEO of The Sandbox Korea says, “We are pleased to collaborate with ModHaus, which creates new ways with a blockchain system in the music industry. K-pop fans can enjoy the music of tripleS at The Sandbox in a more creative way.”

“In partnership with the Sandbox, our collective long-term aim is mass adoption of NFTs,” said Joseph Baek, co-founder of Modhaus. “With Modhaus paving the way to revolutionize the K-Pop entertainment market, the Sandbox will be an essential partner in our journey to expansion.”
